Farinato Race is one of the main world OCR competitions which enables its participants to win a place in the OCR World Championships. It is carried out in natural and outdoor settings. This race has natural obstacles (rivers, trenches…) and artificial ones (fences, wire fences, cars…). The Spanish Farinato Race promotes equality, teamwork and physical activity together with entertainment. This race is held in different cities of Spain and Portugal such as Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Porto or Seville.

Eleven Farinato races will be named after Cervantes, one of which will take place in Castilla-La Mancha in November 2016.

This renamed race counts toward the OCR World Championships held in Canada.
